The Prosperity Grid Review- Scam

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority in South Africa has warned about the Prosperity Grid being a pyramid scheme. “Several complaints from the public” led to the investigation into Prosperity Grid. The FSCA says that a preliminary investigation led them to the conclusion that The Prosperity Grid “appears to be an illegal pyramid scheme.” The FSCA is a financial regulator, which is a shame.

Since the FSCA doesn’t have power over pyramid schemes, we’ve ended our investigation but want to warn people to be careful and watch out.

In terms of MLM, this means they would only look into it if there was securities fraud.

Even so, the FSCA has a reputation for being slow to act when it’s clear securities fraud is going on. In any case, it’s good to see that the FSCA did something in this case, even if it was just to pass the buck.

The FSCA has sent the issue to other South African regulators and authorities so that they can look into it and take more action if needed.

We looked at The Prosperity Grid before. We found a simple gifting scheme that needed people to join it in a pyramid shape to keep it going. Last month, we saw that the prosperity grid was falling apart. This was because the entry fee was cut from $500 to only $126. The website for The Prosperity Grid doesn’t get much traffic.

This means that the plan has probably failed, which is probably what finally made people complain to the FSCA. As we pointed out in our review, The Prosperity Grid is run by South Africans and is mostly aimed at people who live in South Africa.
