The homes of Ajay Bhardwaj and another person who helped him scam people with Bitcoin Gain have been searched by authorities in Delhi. Reports say that the long-running investigation has now spread to more police departments in India. According to Business Today, the Enforcement Directorate of India (ED) raided six locations, including Delhi, as part of a large investigation into the alleged scamming of more than 80,000 investors.

During the raid, the investigating agency took a lot of important documents and electronic devices.

The raid went on until late Wednesday night.

In 2017, Amit Bhardwaj started Gaining Bitcoin. He is said to have died in January of a heart attack. The ED is also looking into other people who may be involved in the case.

It is also looking into what part the rest of Amit Bhardwaj’s family, including his wife, played in the scam.

Several members of Bhardwaj’s family are linked to the case.

Gain Bitcoin was a simple MLM crypto Ponzi scheme that paid out 10% each month. It fell apart in the fall of 2017. I’m not sure that raids five years after the fact would have turned up much of value. In 2018, the ED started looking into gaining Bitcoin.

After four years, no one has been charged with anything. None of the stolen property has been given back to the scam victims.

Two experts who were helping the police earlier this year tried to steal $2.6 million, but they were caught. It remains to be seen what effect the recent raids and wider investigation have on the case.
