The trial for Jonathan Sifuentes’ securities fraud with My Trader Coin has been set for August 22nd.

In 2020, the Arizona Corporation Commission filed a lawsuit against Sifuentes and six other individuals.    The ACC’s allegations concern securities committed through the Ponzi schemes My Trader Coin and Now Mining.

Four of the defendants have already agreed to plead guilty. Earlier this year, a third person was ordered to have a neuropsychological evaluation.

According to a filing on May 19th, defendant Moises Herrera (69) has been assessed and found to be  capable of taking part in the two-week trial scheduled for August 2022. Yolanda Herrera, Moises’ wife, claims she is only named in this litigation because of her marriage to Mr. Herrera… and has no knowledge of the facts in this case.

The court has yet to rule on Herreras’ petition.

Jonathan Sifuentes was scheduled to appear in court at the time of publication. It is unknown whether Sifuentes will attend the trial in person.

The court has asked Sifuentes’ attorney to provide notice of how their representatives and witnesses will appear in court. Either in person or via email.

The Commission has determined that it is appropriate to give the parties in each division case that will have a hearing the option of having their representatives and witnesses attend and participate in person or remotely via Web Ex.

The format for the hearing in this case has yet to be determined. If a party fails to file a filing indicating how its representatives and witnesses will participate during the hearing, the Commission will assume that the representatives and witnesses will participate in person.

Attendance reports must be submitted by July 22nd.

Sifuentes promoted My Trader Coin by primarily targeting Hispanic churchgoers in his area.

My Trader Coin was launched in early 2017, but it went bankrupt later that year.

Sifuentes, who had a taste for MLM Ponzi scamming, set about preparing to launch Xira Lifestyle in late 2019.  Sifuentes fled to Mexico after learning that he was being investigated by the ACC.

Sifuentes continued to run his Xifra Lifestyle Ponzi scheme there until he was arrested earlier this year by Mexican authorities.

Sifuentes fled to Dubai shortly after. He relaunched Xifra Lifestyle as Decentra Universe there.

Decentra Universe went live on May 27th. Sifuentes continues to defraud consumers through his new Ponzi scheme.

Dubai is the world’s MLM crime capital. Sifuentes is effectively out of reach of the authorities by fleeing there.

If Sifuentes is required to attend the ACC trial in Arizona, he could face arrest.

This is contingent on whether or not US authorities have launched a federal investigation into Xifra Lifestyle, which is currently unknown.

Our next update, pending any unexpected filings or events, should come sometime after Sifuentes’ August trial.
