Paparazzi Review- Scam

  • 15

Melissa Sorenson was a Paparazzi employee prior to her current position. In January of 2022, Sorenson was fired. She or Paparazzi have not revealed the details of the termination.

A conversation log exhibit reveals that Sorenson believes she was fired “wrongfully.” As a result, she has filed numerous complaints with both state and federal labor authorities.

Paparazzi’s appeal for a Temporary Restraining Order included Papa Chat United chat logs as an exhibit. Sorenson and three former Paparazzi consultants were named as defendants in a lawsuit filed by Paparazzi against Sorenson. It is revealed in the chat log exhibit that Sorenson filed complaints with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (federal as well as state-level) and with the Department of Labor.

It has been determined that your complaint is merited and will be forwarded to the Utah Labor Commission for an official investigation, which the Department of Labor and the Utah Labor Commission will assist with.

Sorenson and Paparazzi agreed to meet on February 23rd for mediation. Sorenson said the paparazzi, according to Sorenson, did not come to the event.

“As if I’m no longer worth their time, they didn’t show up to mediation yesterday and it’s frustrating.. like I am no longer a priority or something.”

In another part of the conversation, According to Sorenson, Utah OSHA is looking into the following:    Investigators plan to look into the jewels, safety controls in machinery, and emergency equipment (fire extinguishers), as well as talk to current employees to determine if they (are) ever informed of someone unwell at work or are told to come into the office if they are ill.

As a result of “the bullying or diarrhea or safety and health issues etc,” several Paparazzi staff have lately resigned, according to Sorenson. Sorenson has filed complaints against the company because she wants Paparazzi to be held accountable for what they’ve done.

Sorenson alleges that Paparazzi has caused her “a lot of headaches and pain”. Utah OSHA appears to have received a complaint from at least one other person in this chat room. There were “alleged safety and health risks at Paparazzi Accessories,” according to emails cited. It is not possible for Utah OSHA to notify the complainant of the findings of its inquiry because the complainant is no longer employed at Paparazzi.

However, we can guarantee you that we will conduct a thorough investigation to see if any OSHA violations have occurred at this location.

My best guess is that these investigations are a direct response to the discovery of hazardous metals in the jewelry of paparazzi photographers.

Investigations into Paparazzi by government agencies are unknown at this time.
